What to eat in Penang? Kway Chap, Lok Bak, Assam Laksa

What you like to eat at Penang? What have i tried at Penang? You must have heard of Penang Char Kuay Teow, Penang Rojak, Penang Assam Laksa, etc. How about Penang Duck Kway Chap? If you are not familiar what it is, just try it then find out. At times we have to be adventurous in order not to miss experiencing great dishes (unless it's religious reason).

Map guide the way to the street food from hotel i stay - Le Dream Boutique Hotel.

Are they brother and sister mending the stall? Kimberly Duck Kway Chap is one of the "four heavenly king" in this street.

Able to guess what is inside?

"Lor Bak" is one of my favorite dish. Is this the best in Penang? I don't know. Anyway choices of food is subjective. Just do it!

Without realizing that one set is this BIG, i end up finishing my dinner for lunch.
How should i rate them when some items are superior then others? Lok Bak is great!

We went "Kek Lok Si Temple" (one of the top tourist spot), and this famous Air Itam Assam Laksa is just round the corner. We took Rapid Bus 203 (RM2.00) at Komtar bus terminal and bus drop us at point 1 (below map). The arrow show the bus route direction at that area so easier for you to locate.
Point 2 will be the bus stop to fetch us back. We took bus 502 and understand that most bus can bring you back Georgetown.

The famous Air Itam Assam Laksa. When you see the word famous usually not easy to find seat, especially it's near tourist spot.

Look messy just like the stall but taste great! Don't trust the food taste by it's cover!

Tourist will always want to try local famous foods. Sometime it's tiring to chase around looking for those foods when they are not nearby. And you tend to disappoint when it don't meet your expectation. But why limit yourself, just eat what you like in front of you.
Gurney Paragon Mall - trying Japanese food not in Japan (Malaysia) is it alright?

It is a good choice after all. Give them a LIKE!
