What to pack for a quick trip?

Clothes
1. Gather all the clothes you think will need and throw out half of them - just do it. Pack more tops than bottoms. The average bag fits roughly two jeans, three sweaters, two dresses and five shirts, enough to last you 5 days.

2. Choose knits, wools and cottons. They resist wrinkles. These fabrics are also versatile and can pull double duty, like yoga pants that use as pajamas.

3. Roll softer garments like underwears, tshirts, jeans, knitwear tightly as they dont wrinkles easily and fold stiffer ones. But fold carefully those clothes made of stiffer fabrics like starched cotton and linen.

4. Pack your suitcase like three-layer cake. Roller items make the first layer. Middle layer start with longest items, like skirts, dresses and pants. Stack them on
top each others and keep as flat as possible. Top the pile with clothes you need first like if you arrive at night, that you will access to your sleepwear conveniently.

5. Snake belts around the perimeter of the bag. This way they take up less space.

Shoes
1. Follow the rules of threes. Shoe take the most space. Consider casual scandals or loafers, sneakers and evening shoes to be your holy trinity. Wear the bulkiest footwear and pack the other two.

2. Stuff shoes. They can provide storage space for sunglasses and chargers for the phone and camera.

3. Slip shoes into resealable bags. Then tuck them into sides of the main compartment.

Toiletries
1. Use multi-taskers. Choose tinted moisturiser that serve as foundation, a soap and shampoo in one, and wipes that clean the hands and face. It sold most places.

2. Protect your belongings from ugly mishaps. If you have a coarse bristled hair brush, slip a sock over it to prevent the bristles from snagging delicate items like pantyhose and silk scarves.

3. Group similar products in a resealable bags. Tuck in corner of the bag or zippered outside pocket.
