1975 was the year Singapore Government decide to replace Paya Lebar with Changi Airport. Reclamation from the sea also begin during then (1975), and completed in 1977.
In May 1981, Changi airport received it first commercial aircraft, and July started schedule flight operations.
It was in Dec 1981, Changi Airport officially declared open.
It was after 10 years, Terminal 2 was officially opened - June 1991.
In 1994, it surpassed 20 million passengers. And Dec 1996, terminal 3 was decided to go ahead.
Officially opened of Changi Mrt Station on Feb 2002.
In Jan 2008, Terminal 3 start schedule flight operation.

In 2013, Changi Airport surpassed 50 million passenger milestone.
