Sarawak Cultural Village, Damai Resort, City One Mega Mall, Oishi Japanese Restaurant

Day trip to award winning Sarawak Cultural Village is on most tourist itinerary. It was dubbed as a "living museum". You can see and feel the lifestyles and traditional dwellings of major ethnic groups in Sarawak at the foot of famous and legendary Mount Santubong.

Grand Margherita Hotel arranged day tour to Sarawak Cultural Village. If you (like me), staying there, it be most convenient to engage their service.

Transport: RM24 per person include return
Entrance Fee: RM60 per adult RM30 Child

1000hrs  Reach SCV (journey about 45mins)

After hotel breakfast, we checked out and left bagpack at the concierge for half day to SCV.

Air-con Shuttle Van that fetch us to SCV.

We were given a passport to stamp on those villages we visited. Not necessary, but
inside the passport carry some useful info you may be interested.

A great experience for me who grow up in City.

How about this bridge of bamboo?

Demo how to blow darts as weapon

Making use of what available in nature is the way of the life - Tree Bark

Who is more sexy?

Even the stairs were handmade and tough

Remember to plan your route and be ready 1130am for the Cultural show

Salvage your time for a stroll down to Damai Centre which just opposite SCV.
There you be able to see Damai Beach and the Iconic Bird.

We proceed to our next hotel for rest of two nights at Sarawak - Ranee Boutique Suites
Just about 11mins walk away. After which, the plan was find a Cinema and relax

A beautiful mosque (Landmark) near the bus interchange.

What bus should i take? Let's find out!

Not doubt its warm, but after it moved off, window roll down, wind started to cool us down.

Our bus pass by another Mall - The Spring

We alighted at the main road beside the mall.

CityOne Megamall. Look's like most shopping mall at Kuching were quiet.
Business looks tough. According to taxi driver, there were many malls, mostly targeted at tourists.

After show, we went for our dinner (not in mall)
We purchased from Groupon this Japanese Restaurant vouchur.
