I appreciated when read more about them. Perhaps, after sharing with you what i get to find out (not too lengthy), you will enjoy more of the trip there.
(Picture from the net) This is engaging. The shape actually has it rationale. 1) The bottom (Bhurloka) of temple is the "underworld". This is a place for ordinary folk, both human and animal. It is the place where lust and desire are commonplace. They say is an unholy area. 2) Then the middle (Bhuvarloka), the place for those who have left their worldly possessions. It where people begin to see the light of truth. The middle world had four rows of 224 small individual shrines, where all shrines are identical. 3) The submit (Svarloka), and the innermost square is the holiest zone, the realm of the gods. Now when you are there, take steps closer to them, appreciate their prestige.
Journey took us nearly an hour.
RP234,000 for adult entrance fee.
Considering the expensive fees if you come as a huge families, i would find that visiting Borobudur will be great enough.
A welcoming pose to Prambanan Temple
Can you feel the heat even if you are in air-con room now?
Huge and fascinating foundation
Getting assistance from twin holy temples
Remember those.... "unholy world", "the light of truth" and "holiest zone"
Closer view
Our hairs too start to feel sacred
Saluting with prodigious guards
One main temples in central, surrounded by another 8 temples in NSEW directions.
Compared to the temples in Angkor Wat, the temples of Prambanan are much easier to navigate, but Angkor Wat cooler with amazing trees structure.
