A friendly Conductor will be there to guide you if not sure which bus to take. You can also find out from the driver as he will be issuing ticket.
RM2.70 per person one way. It's way cheaper than Taxi.
These are those bus numbers, stated with their route, at the bus stop.
I took bus 401E.
Journey of Bus 401E took about 50 mins if no heavy traffic:
- 3:45pm, left the airport
- Pass by famous snake temple (on the left), the bus then turn left.
- 3;55pm, reach Jalan Mayang Pasir (able to see Giant Hypermarket).
- 4pm, Sunshine Square shopping mall and you can see Old Town White Coffee.
- PISA look like a food centre/wet market
- 4:07pm, bukit jambul is a shopping mall with a huge bus stop and many board the bus here.
- By then you be going under a fly over.
- 4:12pm, the popular Queensbay mall. Looks like one of the biggest mall in Malaysia and it located
near the river. Eastin hotel is there.
- 4:20pm, traveling on Jelutong expressway.
- 4:30pm, going into George Town but stuck in a heavy jam as it was school holiday season.
The "Rapid Penang" air-con bus is clean and comfortable. But seats are limited.
Prangin Mall (Komtar) and 1st Avenue. Also bus terminal Komtar.
I alighted at Prangin Mall (bus 401E) as my hotel is nearby - Le Dream Boutique Hotel.
