Sarawak famous best food in Miri City

Miri city indeed was not very big. If you are the sort who enjoy to walk/jog (exercise) and looked around when in a new place, then just do it. We were a bit crazy 😊. We breakfast at 63 Cafe and grab to Marriot resort and spa. Then we walked all the way to Luak Esplanade for few hours. From Luak, we grab to Coco Cabana, and from there we walked back. That's when we know Marina Bay (AvoBar) and Times Square (Sushi Zanmai).

This Coffee Shop (Wang Sing) behind Ajang Hotel. Miri usually name them as Cafe. Our first meal (breakfast) was here. In the morning was quite crowded.

The pancake (Crispy Apam balik ?) looks good.
I personally did not like their buttery tasted. But was well supported by the local.

Let's name the above map as ZONE 1 to 7.

Let start with ZONE1-Map3 - Sau Pau Cafe
This was one of the stalls we frequent the most. They were our snacks for many away excursions.
I loved the Green (Pandan skin) Pau, Butter Milk Pau and Yam Pau.
Consume when it's fresh and warm.

All sort of snacks to spoil your choice.

Prepared and bake at the stall

ZONE1-Map4 - 63 Cafe
Sarawak style laksa or Kuching Laksa was what people came here for.

Want special? (Not that sort of special 😓) More ingredients like balls and prawns for RM12.
During first mouthful, I was not used to the taste (but taste familiar). After few more, start to like it,
and found it's quite similar like "Mee Soto". Teh C RM2.80. Kopi O RM2.40
I noticed Malaysia used to have the habit of gave utensils in a cup of hot water. Could it because
their tap water was not drinkable?

ZONE1-Map5 - Selera rasa segar (SRS)
This stall always many customers. I did see some negative remarks in tripadvisor.
To try is to believe. Yes, I love their "Chicken Nasi Lemak", especially the chili. This was the one I wanted to patronize again. Maybe you should avoid going around 6pm after their prayers, when queue start to snake around.

ZONE1-Map6 (Ano Hotel) and Map7 (Kingwood)
These two hotels were around Zone1 which you may consider.

ZONE1-Map8- Wireless Walk with Container stalls
When in Miri, definitely must come here. The entire street was active and happening.
Weekends will be crowded.

I loved the Smash Burger/Kolo Mee/Chicken Wings at the end
of the street. It's located opposite Imperial City Mall (Map9).

ZONE1-Map12 - Saigon Republic Vietnam food
I did not try this but could see the crowd during the night.
If you try, please share in the comment 💕

ZONE2 - Time Square district
There were restaurants, cafe, bubble tea, bakery, etc. If you want to stay around here, can try
Pintarman Suites @ Miri Times Square
This was the Cheng Du hotpot with high traffic. I am not a hotpot person.

Sushi Zanmai Miri as my travel buddy craved for Japanese food and was cheaper.

The Coffee Code for Coffee addict.

The Nest Cafe for the ambience.

ZONE3 - Yong Ho Cafe
This was old school Taiwan style fresh Soy milk with You Tiao. It took us sometimes to locate them.
Most of the stalls look quite similar from outside.

Must try the Salad You Tiao - BEST! They stuff mayo salad inside the crispy you tiao. Somehow, the
combination was super nice. Kolo mee was not among the best.

ZONE4 Lorong Marina
Similarly, like Times Square, many restaurants here. I nearly book Amigo Hotel for this trip.
You can see there were many hot favorites highlighted in Map below.

I landed this ZONE because of AvocBar. We walked from Coco Cabana, which not far away.
Teriyaki Salmon Head (Half) RM14.90. Avo Collagen Booster RM 19.90.
Signature Avo Fried Rice RM28. All these were very nice. Must try the Avo fried rice.

ZONE7 Tanjong Lobang Beach
You can find KFC, pizza, Bangkok Mookata, Japanese cuisine, etc.
Walking up to Marriott resort and spa (ZONE6), you will see Diamond Bay Resort Condominium.

Not sure if these stalls at carpark are temporary. There were few seafood stalls.

Food nothing to shout for, but value for money.

Thank you for supporting my blog till here, and this bonus especially for you 😙

Yummy Rojak House
The Chendol was a MUST TRY. Rojak was nice. You will not find "You Tiao" in the Rojak, instead
they used "Toh Gan" and added cuttlefish.

It located along the main road (like expressway) Jalan Miri Pujut
