Bangkok Don Muang airport to Mo Chit BTS and Siam, Chatuchak Weekend Market

A Sunny Vesak Day morning, we arrived early at Singapore Changi Airport. You won't be bored in this world best airport. Abundance of shops and foods will keep you occupy. You can hop from Terminal 1 to 3. Just don't forget to check-in

I am here to catch my flight (budget airline - Air Asia) to Bangkok. 4 days 3 nights vacation to observe the world. 2 nights will be in Bangkok (photo below) and traveling away to Thailand-Pattaya for a night by Van.

Arrival at Bangkok-Don Muang Internantionl Airport 1605 hrs. (GMT+7)
Flight duration about 2h 25mins.

Air Asia at Singapore Changi Airport

Bangkok-Don Muang Internantionl Airport. 

Unlike Suvarnabhumi Airport, no BTS station connected here. We took the Aircon Shuttle Bus (A1) to the nearest BTS station. 

From Don Muang Airport to nearest BTS station Mo Chit:

1. Shuttle Bus price per person THB30

2. Exit the airport and get to Gate 6 for bus (below photo)

3. Every 5 to 10 mins a bus arrive. Get in from any bus door. Conductor will collect fare.

4. Bus Service start from 7am to 12am

5. Another Airport stop ahead at Gate 12. If you get in from here, most probably will have to stand.

6. Duration to Mo Chit station without jam around 15 mins. 

7. In between airport and Mo chit, there be a stop. Almost all passengers will alight at Mo Chit.

8. If you have many luggage, take taxi direct to hotel will be easier. *Ask for Taxi meter or check the price before you board. Note that there be extra Airport Charge. 

Exit the airport gate, you will see those Gate Numbers

The bus conductor will collect Thb30 per person

This ticket will be handed to you.

If your arrival was not near Gate 6, then Gate 12 can also board the same Shuttle A1 Bus. 

If you have big luggages, may prefer to catch a Taxi. Many awaiting at Airport.

After left airport, there will be another stop before Mo Chit. Don't get down wrong stop.
Many passengers will alight at Mo Chit.

Mo Chit BTS is beside famous Weekend Market Chatuchak. So why not start your shopping excursion. Alight at Point 1 (Map). Walk toward BTS (point 2). Use the aircon underground passageway cross over to Chatuchak Park (Green area) and you are stone throw from Market.

You may shortcut through the Park.


People enjoying their moments with friends and their love ones at the huge and clean Park.

This is a gigantic market (over 8000 stalls) used to be popular among wholesalers, but now become a MUST visit place when you are in Bangkok. Most of time we will lost our way. Use this old but artistic building (above) as your landmark. Although prices heading up for most merchandise, there are still stuffs worth consider bargain for. 

You can deposit your luggage at those lockers provided. Hopefully you can find them haha

There are more than 20 sections (pet/art/painting/flower/food/clothing/accessories/furniture,etc), that will definitely bring you down to your knees. This time you will not reject Aunty calling you for a good session of foot massage, especially in their air-condition stall. In the afternoon, you will be like walking along "Sauna room". So wearing thin clothes obviously help. 

This is one of my favourite clothing lane which sell mostly trendy stuffs. Most are young

stall owners and some carry their own brand and design. Support!!! Support!!!

Stylish cafe to take a break? You may be wondering what time this Market close?

Frankly, i also don't know. It said 6pm but why close when crowd still around and it a weekend? 

Evening be great to avoid the heat and more enjoyable walk around.

Cheaper and nice local food. 

Their food usually quite strong in taste. Anyway we suppose to walk into their life here.
