Hotel Rosse, Sunrise at Mount Sibayak, Thong's Inn Transit Airport Hotel

Day 4 itinerary
- Left Hotel Rosse at 4:30 am for sunrise at Mount Sibayak
- Around 830 am made our way to Medan
- Spa at Medan
- Evening train to airport and transport to Thong' Inn transit hotel

Hotel Rosse (at berastagi) was recommended by our guide.
Located at a lovely ground which was10 minutes’ drive from Gundaling Hill
and the local fruit market.

A cool place as we were still sort of above certain sea level.
Our room at 2nd level, with a balcony, had a clear view of the awesome mountain top.

Awake and left hotel at 4:30 am, journey about 30 mins, walk to bottom
of the starting point around 20 mins.

*Tips
1. Bring along torch that can hang on head (or just torch light)
2. Wear attire that can keep warm (can be very cold on top)
3. Wear proper hiking shoe (rocky)
4. Carry a small backpack and bring along water (even light snack)
5. Pray for luck not to be cloudy for sunrise

Finally hit the top walking in absolute darkness with only light from our mobile phone.

Look at these two hero wearing improper attire when it's so cold.
We were shivering and hiding away from wind

Shhhhh.... don't disturb, the sun waking up

It's an amazing experience. We just keep rushing before sunrise, climbing along this crater,
heard roaring jet sound to the left, felt pebbly on our feet, and yet we only knew
it's so magnificent when sky light up.

Super!

We will climb to the other top as well

*Don't hold phone (or things) in your hand while climbing. I trying to save my phone
when i trip, and injured my arm.

Could you feel the path we walked along the tip?

Some said to enjoy the journey, but i more enjoyed the ending - Awesome view!

This shot looked like a poster behind.

Getting so near to those "hole" where sound and gas came from

After that we continued our way to Medan

Dropped us off at (below map 1) Airport Railink Service Train station.
And we took lunch nearby Merdeka Walk - Srikandi Cafe.
We didn't know there was a huge mall just stone throw away from station (Map 3)

Forgot what was this. Should be Dragon fruits with guava. Should try!

I really love their Nasi Goreng. The whole trip most places i tried was savory.

Our bill for your reference

Beside was a Liverpool RAM's Cafe. YNWA

We walked very far to get this Spa. It's helped us to digest.

We visited Sun plaza because we didnt know there was a mall near train station

I would still suggest you to stay Thong's Inn Transit Airport Hotel.
Reason: Cheaper and good

Only us. Train journey around 30 mins to airport. Contacted and arranged to
pick us at airport by Thong's Inn hotel.

Thong's Inn Transit Airport Hotel
It a very huge hotel which had renovation work when we were there. They were
building a swim pool as well. Most important they provided transport to hotel.
They had plenty of different types of room which was clean and cozy.
Breakfast was included.

Kuala Namu International Airport.

Indonesia Kuala namu International Airport to Lake Toba, Hotel Melissa Palace, Inna Parapat Resort

5 Days 4 nights free and easy vacation to the natural wonder Lake Toba - Northern Sumatra of Indonesia. Heard that Toba was famous honeymoon location 30 years back (1988).

The island "Pulau Samosir" has almost the same size as Singapore. By now most of you should have known Singapore, after the TrumpKim Summit (#trumpkimsummit) which host in Singapore.

Day 1
- Kuala namu International Airport to Lake Toba Parapat by Mini-Van.
- One night stay at Hotel Melissa Palace Parapat.
- Search for local tour and transport.
- Walk around Parapat and visited Inna Parapat Resort

Exit arrival hall and turned right. Observed for staff walking around wearing white
uniform with the company name "Nice" transport service. We were charged 100k per
person to share on this (above) mini-van. Price included expressway toll fee.

The expressway was quiet.
While we reached their village, traffic started heavier.

It took us about 4 hours to reach Parapat

We stayed for a night at Hotel Melissa Palace. It seem like we were the only guest
staying that night (Fasting month). We preferred to have the night at Island Samosir,
but worried that we not managed to catch last ferry (7pm).

*Room was huge, but bed/pillow was not comfortable. The bed seem to have bugs as both
of us felt itchy. Room was stuffy with no air-con and fan.

I chose this hotel because of this island view.
But i would suggest you consider "Inna Parapat resort".

The best thing about this hotel was this scenery view (evening) and near the ferry port.

Near the ferry port

Evening was spent looking for local tour near to hotel. Then we have our dinner at
the same stall. (25k for a plate of mee goreng and 6k a bottle of mineral water)
Lesiure walk around Parapat

Visited the huge Inna Parapat Resort

Day 3 itinerary
- Waking up at Wisma Sibayak Resort, explored the wonderful surrounding with mountain and lake, not forgetting to capture awesome memories.
- Drove up to the well-known Sipisopiso waterfall (Indonesia highest waterfall)
- Heard of Ghost town? We will be there!
- Trip to Volcano Sinabung is a must
- Check-in Hotel Rosse
- Pick Strawberries experience
- Open air public Sibayak Hot spring
- Berastagi Fruit Market

Fresh air + awesome scenery

Lake with those lovely reflection of behaving clouds

Started our journey to Sipiso Piso Indonesia highest waterfall.
Followed by Volcano at Mount Sinabung.

Fishing could be the best way to slow down - but not my hobby

I don't know why i simply love the sea (it's alright even lake)

Nature architecture

Sipisopiso waterfall is Indonesia highest waterfall (about 120 meters high)
The water came out from a cave.

The bananas fritters here were cheap and great.

We could walk all way down and may take 2 hours.

Watching and enjoy from here was well enough to appreciate the nature

You don't like waterfall?

That's amazing and closed up

This was where they called "Ghost town"

So you know why?

Getting nearer. The surrounding trees and plants missing.

 Check in Hotel Rosse

I have never see strawberry plantation and this the opportunity.
This place still quite cooling as it's still high on sea level (forgot how high)

Open air public Sibayak Hot spring

Such a wonderful backdrop while enjoying the steamy hot spring
How could you skip this!

Berastagi Fruit Market

We chose to have our dinner with local and their local foods.

I love their Nasi Goreng.
