Sheraton Mustika Yogyakarta Resort & Spa near International Airport
In this digital world, searching for accommodation with review was so much easier for consumer, but more competitive for merchandiser. Even the search engine is so much powerful.
Priority, i needed an accommodation that was near to international airport, as my morning flight was super early, that i hope to prolong my morning dream. Next, the review above average, and within my budget. Tripadvisor provided a convenient platform to learn of lodging at the vicinity. That may not be all but good enough. Also i will checked on review by fellow guests at some websites and even some blogs (like this blog).
Day1 Flight delay and cancelled
Day 2 Indonesia Yogyakarta, taxi, Jogja City Mall
Neo Malioboro Hotel
Day 3 Borobudur: Merapi: Prambanan temple

Indonesia Yogyakarta, Jalan Malioboro, taxi, Jogja City Mall
Holiday at Indonesia one of tourist popular destination Yogyakarta, usually called Jogjakarta or written as Jogja, in the southern part of the Central Java province. Why popular? Must be heritage sites of Borobudur and Prambanan temples, and their Volcanoes and Caves.
After prepared this map (below), then i noticed Bali was not far away. Indeed, blogging help improve my horizon.
Singapore Changi airport to Jogja @Adisucipto International Airport (Terminal B) was around 2 hours 15 mins. This is the type of flight journey that is manageable, as sitting upright for long hurt my lower back (hint that i am tall).
There is a time different of an hour. Yogyakarta GMT +7 while Singapore GMT +8. How about your country to there?
There was nothing much to see (shop) at the airport. After clearance, choose our preferred taxi counters (one offering RP100,000 while the other RP80,000). Needless to say, we supported the lowest.
I read there was Bus 1A for RP3000, but i would highly recommended you to take taxi. For these reasons:
1. Didn't get to see the bus stop nearby,
2. Road condition at jogja much slower for big vehicles.
3. Taxi wasn't that much expensive. Anyway if you tried the bus may want to correct me.
After settled our local tour, we have much time for shopping mall. Which should we choose - Ambarrukmo Plaza or Jogja City Mall? Somehow we decided on the latter.
Tip: request for Taxi at hotel. No extra cost and taxi by meter. From Neo Malioboro Hotel to Jogja City Mall around 15 mins, RP30000.

Taxi from airport to Neo Malioboro Hotel took about 25 mins depending on traffic condition.
This famous street of Jalan Malioboro with many shops selling mostly their local stuffs
like Batik, souvenirs (oleh oleh - you will see this often, i mistaken this as snacks), Tshirt, etc.
Not forgetting low price massage. Foot reflexology 1 hour RP58000 and body massage RP123000.

It's just 5 mins walk to the street. If you need a supermarket, there's one here inside the shopping mall. Behind "Inna Garuda", there is a street with many shops selling sport and leather shoes.
Tip: If you looking for local tour agent, mostly can be found along "Jalan Sosrowijayan" street.
Ours was "Kartika Travel". Friendly driver with comfortable Toyota car (Local price around 180 Millions). No other joining us so no waiting time wasted and can request for special lunch or local souvenirs shop.
Borobudur + Merapi (Jeep) + Prambanan
Our package all inclusive (with entrance fees and transport) RP2.1 millions
Jomblang Cave RP1.5 millions
Price not include entrance fees. Most entrance fees were much expensive than these cost above.

This bus stop is at Malioboro which i think will be the drop off point from airport (Bus A1)

Such a grand and huge city mall.
Looking out from the mall where we alighted.
Awesome view from the window at one of the food street.
Catch a show "Deep water horizon" for just RP35000 (SGD$4) in their beautiful cinema.
There was a service for taxi just outside the lobby where we alighted. Impressed with their taxi
that looked new, clean and smell great. I wonder any different if were to flag on the street. Do share with me if you know.
