Traveling from Kenting to Kaohsiung by Mini Van

Most of the hotels at Kenting provide shared service travel to Kaohsiung or other locations. We took mini van from our Space Capsule Hotel direct back to Kaohsiung. Paid NT 100 to hotel and NT 300 to driver upon arrived.

The journey took 2 hours 15 mins for us to reach Kindness Hotel Main station, as van broke down almost reaching. Fortunately, we managed transfer to another van of similar company. Service provided by this transport company was great. Staff was friendly.

Kaohsiung Pier-2 Art Center and railway cultural park

We were back to Kaohsiung, so visiting Pier-2 Art center was one of the priority. Idea and creativity of artists brought back liveliness to this pier. And of cause social media as well. It was once abandoned warehouse at the pier, because shift of industrial segment to service sector.

We alighted at (Below Map point 1)"Yanchengpu station" and walked toward the sea/pier. Opposite the pier was actually Cijin island, which we head to on our first day.

When you walked along Dayong Road, will see this red artistic icon (Map pt 2).

Maybe it will change?

(Map pt 3) Stalls setup during certain days or weekends. It energized the pier.

(Map pt 4) This should be the original huge warehouse colour.

The metal door was rusty.

called "Kaohsiung Port Station".

Kaohsiung highly rated Kindness Hotel was marvelous

Actually first choice was back to our first night bed & breakfast accommodation, but was fully booked. Then without 2nd thought, was this highly rated "Kindness Hotel". There were few at Kaohsiung and i chose the one beside Kaohsiung Main Station.

Indeed, experience was marvelous. Location was great as it's beside Main Station.
Staffs were all friendly and attentive.

Room space was enough to maneuver around although not very big.
Color and lighting was cozy and room was clean and tidy.

Bathroom was bright and shine.

I love those shampoo and shower foam. The equipment was like... wow!

Toilet bowl was also well equipment.

Night snacks was available even with extensive choices.

I have forgotten which was breakfast and night snacks

Kaohsiung Lotus Lake with Dragon Tiger Pagodas and Spring Autumn Pavilions

From Formosa Boulevard Station to Zuoying station about 6 stations (NT25). Outside Zuoying station, board Bus 51 and alight at Dragon Tiger lotus lake about 25 mins (NT12). At the same bus stop we alighted, we took the same bus 51 back to Zuoying station.

I find nothing much here, just for these pagoda, tiger and dragon. There were many temples
around too. Hopefully you choose a day that was not hot, or prepare yourself.
