Penang Kek Lok Si Temple, Northam All Suite Hotel, Gurney Paragon

You can catch a bus 203 at Prangin (Komtar) Bus terminal to Kek Lok Si Temple (you can check how to go from HERE). This is one of the tourist hotspot. Be prepare to walk and climb high up so good to wear cooling top and apply your sunblock on a scorching weather.

Tortoise symbol of long life and here you can see plentiful of them.

Beautiful Pagoda

Fortunately, there will be incline lift half way on the hill to fetch us up. But i forgot how much i paid. I think should be $2 to $3 per person.

This is the view why we are up here - Penang skyline

Very nice and impressive craving and structure.

The bus stop with the small signboard "Rapid"

Another nice view from "Northam All Suite Hotel".

A hotel with super huge room. No wonder call the suite. You can play hide&seek here.

(above) View was taken from the swim pool.
One of the reason i book this hotel was this pool, but look at the crowd, how to swim.
Better go for gym with the whole room by yourself.

Private mushrooming around Gurney Drive. The friendly taxi driver told me many Singaporeans invest in this block with swim pool every floor - I still choose not to believe that. Not believe every floor has a pool. Maybe its jacuzzi lah.

Awesome to stay along this stretch with such a wonderful view.
Gurney Paragon a spacious shopping mall with residential unit above. Many restaurants.

Cycling in Penang Street Arts and Chew Jetty

This is more like cycling for convenient than cycling to exercise. (Eat to live or live to eat). However I still break sweat so shall consider this good exercise.
We set off early morning around 830 am. I heard your voice.... So early able rent a bicycle? Bicycle rental service is available as early as 7 am.

Around Georgetown, you can see bicycle highlighted to aware vehicles of  cyclists around. It still our duty to watch out and cycle carefully. It always better to wear brighter top and remember cycle as close to the left bicycle lane as possible. You can request for a Street Art map (below), but i am sure you will be given. The friendly owner may even draw and guide you to most of the art work.

This FREE walkabout tour is organize for visitors to Penang. You can check with your hotel. Some of the places of interest are highlighted.

You will be given bicycle lock for renting the bicycle. It is at very affordable price.

Below are most of those Master Art i found at Georgetown. It's fun searching for them. At the same time, we exercise, appreciate the town and enjoy Penang local cuisines.
Let's start with this "Upside Down" museum.

Many of these memorable arts are drawn by Ernest Zacharevic, a young Lithuania-born artist, as part of George Town Festival 2012. One of them is this "Boy on a Bike" (Kid on a bicycle)

"Kissing the cat" - name by me :)

Heard this is one of the latest Art piece. It took us quite awhile to find this piece.
Namaste! The lady look so real.

Is he Malaysian soccer star?

My bicycle was rented outside the shop facing this colorful tree. The owner was extremely helpful, even provided mineral bottle water & map, and took time to guide us where were those art works.

How was my pose with Lee Xiao Long? Did i do better compare to when i cycling at Hong Kong

This Chew Jetty not far away (map above). You will have to lock and walk in.

It look so beautiful but will i love staying here for life? What are villages doing every day?
Are they more united than those staying in tall flats? Are they healthier and happier?

The original and the "chiong"

Creative lamp post supporting by a "kid" doing head stand

This shop sell home-make biscuits. Must be very nice even these two kids....

How he draw this so high up?

The mouth was on the left. Blown your imagination.

This is what happened when desperate to take photo of the "Blue Mansion"
Open at 11am (Map above to check direction)
