Malaysia Malacca short trip 2D1N

YR2024: I was back in 2024 and felt good to see these old photos again. Let's see below what have changed.....

YR2015: Malacca or Melaka? Oic, Malacca in malay is Melaka.

This is a very short trip, just 2 days and 1 night. The objectives are to try local food and "move around the world". These are some of those attractions (below) but i not be covering them. I will just walk around look, see and eat.

Travel by this tour agent and meeting point is at Textile Centre (MRT can be Nicole Highway/Lavender). You can book from various agents, with meeting point at your convenient and choose your seats on this same platform @Bus online ticket

Malacca alighting point is Map point (1) - Hatten Hotel.

Hatten Hotel is one of the favorite and highly rated hotel in the Malacca City. I am not staying here (left side tall buidling is Hatten Hotel), looking for home stay nearer to Jonker Street.

YR2024: This time i stayed at Hatten and you can take a look HERE

Weather very hot. Don't waste it, I walk through this huge air-con shopping mall - (2) Mahkota Parade. If you love shopping, this area is for you. There are few around.

YR2024: This link way (above) was not available. The mall at Hatten side looks deserted.

(3) Holiday Inn is there

(4) Melaka Menara Taming Sari (Taming Sari Tower).
110 metres in height, its revolving structure offers a 360-degree panoramic view.
Tourist spot should be able to catch many photos/videos of it pano-view if you google it. Actually i did not know of this tower until a local told me.

(5) Moving into "UNESCO World Heritage Site"

Awesome view from the top - Beautiful blue sky. Can see Hatten hotel.

First time come close to an old "tu tu" train. Don't laugh!

This is the hotel if you want stay beside Heritage Site

Terracotta-red colonial Dutch buildings and church

Colorful trishaws pick up point. Loud music will be play cycling you around. (RM25)

YR2024:
Below were some photos took in year 2024.

The train still looked same after almost 10 years? How about me?

The tricycle ride still there. Now more creative design.

Must try especially under this super hot weather.

Jonker RED Heritage Hotel

Transport on the river

Still trying the famous "88"

Didn't know it was a hotel until step in.
Timez Hotel Melaka

I love this "Bao". Located at the end of Jonker street.

Melaka Hatten Hotel in Malaysia Malacca Review

YR2024:
This hotel is huge, and you will have facilities like gym, swim pool, Spa, etc. The room is big and comfortable. But i do not like the room, which i was given, with window facing another unit of this hotel. It's like without window.

This was not the view from my hotel room window.
The view was from the dining floor which you could find below.

Swimming pool was huge as well

Imperial Heritage Hotel was opposite. I remembered saying "Should have choose this".
Their price lower and room window should be of better use.

SPA and Hair saloon available. It was fully booked when i was there.

Malacca Jonker Street and night market

YR2015: Jonker Street came alive on Fridays and Saturdays with it night market that sells everything from tasty treats to cheap keepsakes. The street will be close for vehicles around evening.

I did not try this Satay but looks popular. Did you attempt? How i wish my stomach is like our USB thumb drive. Can extend the storage.

Colorful bottles of drink catch my attention. Are they your collectible items?

Everyone there will go for this stall. The Q was long but consider fast moving.
BaBa dishes (Laksa/Redang)and richness Gula Melaka desserts.  Distinctly different from the Singaporean version with it s thick noodles and tau pok, Baba laksa is a tasty variant with a lighter soup base and thin noodles.

Renowned "Shang Su Gong" (Jonkon 88) at the junction. Everyone rushing in to pick up their favorite local snacks back home. At same times, to beat the heat, with a ice cold durian cendol.
Though i love durian, i still prefer tradition cendol. How about you?

Beautiful and colorful Dim sum on the street

Wow RM38, how can i missed it.
(15 mins used up for herb bath for your legs)

So nice.... "kuay" (cakes)

Giant pineapple tart (diameter of my arms open up)

There is a stage with performance (Singing) at night.

Aunty....chao ta lor (hokkien+singlish)

So famous? So many awards? So many people?

The round shape is said to promote the retention of heat. There are a few prominent outlets specialising in chicken rice balls, but those in the know swear by
Hoe Kee Chicken Rice (4 Jalan Hang Jebat, Jonker Walk).
Sorry not this one below.

I like this "1shot all in, don't bite"
