Singapore Changi Airport World Best

Singapore Changi Airport has been voted the World’s Best Airport (2016) for the fourth year in a row, according to an annual global survey of air travellers.
This is the seventh time in 16 years that the airport has picked up the title at the World Airport Awards. The airport was also awarded Best Airport for Leisure Amenities.
The awards are based on a Skytrax survey of 13.25 million travellers across 106 nationalities, and included 550 airports worldwide.

Currently, there are 3 terminals at Singapore Changi Airport. 



This is Terminal 3 (T3)

At T1, made of 1,216 bronze droplets, Kinetic Rain. 
Each droplet weighs 180 grams and is made of lightweight aluminium with a hollow centre.

Discover Singapore Changi Airport History which started 1972

How was she started? Let me find out.

First Concorde Supersonic plane arrive in Singapore on 1972.

1975 was the year Singapore Government decide to replace Paya Lebar with Changi Airport. Reclamation from the sea also begin during then (1975), and completed in 1977

In May 1981, Changi airport received it first commercial aircraft, and July started schedule flight operations. 

It was in Dec 1981, Changi Airport officially declared open.


It was after 10 years, Terminal 2 was officially opened - June 1991.

In 1994, it surpassed 20 million passengers. And Dec 1996, terminal 3 was decided to go ahead. 

Officially opened of Changi Mrt Station on Feb 2002

In Jan 2008, Terminal 3 start schedule flight operation.

In 2013, Changi Airport surpassed 50 million passenger milestone.
