Bangkok to Pattaya by Mini Van, Victory Monument BTS

Which mode of transport should i use for travel Bangkok to Pattaya? Should i even travel to Pattaya?

Do you believe that cheap and good stuff exit? Even you are pessimistic, i understand, initially i was too! And we would worried about safety when we are not at a place we familiar. We searched on the web for as much information as we can crawl up (that why you end up here).

Go for this only if you have no LARGE luggage. What i mean by large? Let me put it this way. If you are not comfortable to leave your bag on your leg for 1 hr 45 mins, then do not take Van. There may be space for your bag (like i do) beside the seat. or under seat behind.

I went to "Victory Monument BTS" to purchase ticket around 1030am, expecting Van to leave around 11am (every hour). This station is easier as very near to BTS station. We don't have to walk far, just a mins away. Exit BTS Number 4 (photo below). Walk straight ahead.

When you see this (below), turn in left, where this van go. 

If you search the web, you will read about different stations and fares. THB92/100. This station was the THB100. From what i observed, this will be more comfortable station for waiting. With shelter, fans, seats, and toilet around. Looks more organize.

*Note that you will not see Pattaya counter. Go forward to Booth 19 and ask for Pattaya ticket.

You can travel to other towns using these Vans as well. 20 Booths, at least 2 spots.

Take a seat and wait for their call. No seat number assigned. I think about 11 seats a Van. 

Fret not, the Van with aircon. 

You can prepare movie or play your game while traveling. 

We have a break at this petrol station, which almost reaching Pattaya. 

Tip: Turn on your mobile phone GPS to see where you have reach on the way.

Lastly, you may be wondering where this Van will arrive at Pattaya? Is it near your Resort? The driver dropped us at our Resort with a small token. Generally, i have no complaint, journey was smooth across highway, and took about 1 hr 45 mins. There was no traffic jam. That was a Monday. Traffic usually pack during Peak, like 8 to 10am, when everyone rushing for work and school.
