Chengdu People Park historical and cultural site, Kuan Zhai Wide and Narrow Alley

People's Park 人民公园 is one of the largest green park, situated in central of Chengdu and drawing lots of folks. Many gather in groups to do their dance in this park. You can find others playing cards or badminton, drawing caricatures, enjoying their favourite tea in the famous Heming tea house. Is that the life in Chengdu? Maybe for those retired.

You can see the crowd even on weekdays.

(Map 2) There is a huge artificial lake beside the teahouse.
I should have take a shot of the lake.

The Railway Protection Movement Monument in the park
is designated a Major Historical and Cultural Site of China

is a popular tourist attraction street, with architecture renovated in traditional Chinese style.
A nice place with lots of restaurants and local snacks. Great for relaxing. Streets date from
late Qing-dynasty style but are rebuilt.

Remind me of Formula One (F1) race tracks

The words refer to "Wide and Narrow'

Look at the crowd (mostly tourists)

Drawing of these streets. See you can relate the wide/narrow of these alleys.

Fantastic ideas to earn pocket money.

Found this photo of those days on this street.

(Map 4) Location of the metro exit to the alley. I was here again during the night.

There will be more colors during night.

Chengdu seems like very famous with duck. Many places selling parts of duck.

Many tourists taking photos at this restaurant because of their artwork and water feature.
