Vietnam Mekong Delta River and Village Day Tour

What is the Mekong Delta?
The Mekong Delta is a network of distributaries in southwestern Vietnam, between Ho Chi Minh City and Cambodia. The river itself starts in the Himalayas and passes through China, Myanmar, Thailand and Cambodia before reaching Vietnam, which partly explains why the waters are so murky.

More than half of Vietnam’s rice and fish comes from the delta region. It’s vital to the Vietnamese economy and diet. Life in the area revolves around water, from the famous floating markets to the vast agricultural industries. An amazing variety of fruits, flowers and livestock grow in the region. The Mekong River Delta is the rice basket of Vietnam, providing the sustenance for millions.

Today is the day trip visit along Mekong River.

like two Vietnamese hats.

Disembark and visit the village

First time holding a snake. I really don't like the feel of snake skin.
But to try once, just do it! Will be the last!

All these tropical fruits i knew, except the top left end.
I was told it's Vietnam Star Apple.

We were given these fruits to try, and listen to Southern traditional music and
performance by the villagers.

Zigzag down this canal, enjoyed the busy town along the canal.

Their ways of earning a living. Some were young and pretty ladies.
In life, are we suppose look for opportunity or wait for it to come?

We were shown how coconut candy were made by local village.

Manual labour work - original no sugar added.

Drink this wine so that snake/scorpion will not look for me.
Come to think of it again, maybe they will looked for revenge.

But i went for cycling around the village.

Trying to relax and enjoy the nature before it was taken away.
