Tips for Self Drive Holidays

It's time to recharge yourself. Holidays are always enjoyable. If you going for self drive during holidays, it always good to note some safety measure. As the saying "be safe than sorry".

1. Plan ahead 
- Always check the weather of the place we be traveling. Have an idea of the terrain before moving off. Factor in Plan B just in case your original route is not feasible.

2. Bring the necessary
- Stuffs like your driver's licence, passport and cash (currency) for fuels refills. food, parking and road tolls. Important to check the amount of fuel left in the tank so you do not run out of fuel with no petrol station nearby.

3. Find out and get familiarized 
- Take your time to know the car features and familiar yourself with the country traffic rules. Safety is paramount. Know the terms & conditions of the car rental. Find out what to do in even of accident. Hotline numbers.

4. Pay attention to the rules
- Do not speed especially when the traffic and road condition we not familiar.

5. Secure our vehicle
- Lock the car even if we stepping away briefly. Do not leave valuable stuffs in clear view.

6. Stay awake 
- Keep awake by turn on radio or chat with companion. Share driving responsibilities. Do not drive when feeling drowsy. Take short break to refresh ourself.

7. Call the right people
- Ask for contact to call if car malfunction or in event of mishap, from rental car agency. Alert the local police if contact not avail.
